The Champion Fighter was the single most boring subclass in in the 2014 rules, and is arguably responsible for the general feeling that “fighters are basic”. The 2024 rules buffed the Champion significantly, making their features both more exciting and more impactful without adding a lot of complexity or changing the things about the Champion which people liked.
