RPGBOT.net is a 2022 Ennie Award winning website dedicated to TTRPG mechanics and characters. By updating every weekday, our goal is to de-mystify the sometimes intimidating parts of roleplaying games. By doing this we hope to make TTRPGs more accessible and enjoyable to a broader audience and to help players become more proficient in the games that they love.
RPGBOT was created in 2013 by Tyler Kamstra as a place to publish character guides and digital tools in his free time. In the 11 years since, it has grown to be one of the best resources for DnD and Pathfinder analysis and character optimization. It now includes The RPGBOT.podcast and a partnership with Kobold Press to host the Black Flag Reference Document.

While RPGBOT was a solo project for much of its history, the RPGBOT team has grown since it was first introduced in 2013.
Aimee Kamstra
Aimee has been aware of RPGBOT since its inception in 2013, and officially involved since 2021. She takes care of business management, people management, seo, events, travel, merchandise, and anything else behind the scenes at RPGBOT so that Tyler can focus his time doing what he loves: writing content.
Alex D. Gray
Alex is a TTRPG writer and designer based in the UK. He has written extensively for the award-winning publishing company dScryb in addition to creating adventures for clients including Bob World-Builder and Fighter Guy Studios. He is also the owner and operator of Arcane Quill Publishing.

Dan Hastings
Producer Dan has been the RPGBOT.Podcast’s producer and editor since the podcast’s inception. He also handles much of RPGBOT’s creator outreach and art for both the podcast and the site.

Random Powell
RPGBOT.Podcast co-host and RPGBOT contributing author. Random started playing D&D around 2003 and met Tyler just a couple years later. Thousands of hours of play and theorycrafting later (much of it with Tyler), he was grateful to be offered an outlet to exorcise some of the head full of characters and imagined arguments with DMs about how semantics relate to spell effects.
Rocco Giusto
Hailing from north of Boston, MA, Rocco has been playing TTRPGs since D&D 3.0 back in 2001. Since then he’s been playing different systems on and off over the years. Eventually, he met Random, who then introduced Rocco to Tyler, and together they’ve been playing TTRPGs over the internet for almost a decade.
Tyler “RPGBOT” Kamstra
Tyler “RPGBOT” Kamstra has been the author of RPGBOT.net since 2013. Tyler began playing tabletop RPGs with 3rd edition Dungeons and Dragons over 20 years ago. Tyler has a long-standing love for building characters and for game mechanics, and brings that enthusiasm to everything he creates.
