Introduction
The Street Justice feat is a fantastic option for grapple enthusiasts, allowing you to support your allies, quickly bind enemies in chains, and generally make your enemies an easy target.
While Street Justice doesn’t require the Grappler feat, the two work very nicely together. Headlock doesn’t benefit you, but Grappler will get you Advantage to hit your Grappled targets.
Ability Score Increase
Exactly the right abilities for this feat. Dexterity is there for Monks.
Headlock
Fantastic if you’re not planning to bind your grappled target in chains/manacles/rope, which may not be worth the Action against weaker enemies. This doesn’t benefit you, unfortunately, but that’s what the Grappler feat is for.
Of course, you can also shove enemies Prone if you want Advantage for your allies. It’s less optimizable than in the 2014 rules, unfortunately, and it does require an additional attack, so this may be faster for quickly eliminating foes.
Sturdy Knot
The base DC’s to escape are 18 for chains, 20 for manacles, and 15 for rope. The DCs to burst them are higher. Those DCs are decently high, but enemies still have a chance to escape even with a negative Dexterity Modifier. Adding your PB to the DCs will make it impossible for many enemies to escape.
Using chains, manacles, and rope in combat is laughably easy in the 2024 DnD rules. Your target must be Grappled, Incapacitated, or Restrained, then you use a Utilize Action to bind them. A Monk can easily do this in one turn since their Martial Arts attack can be used to Grapple. Grab some chains and you’re nearly unstoppable.
Tough Talk
A great reminder that the Attitude rules exist, but characters built for grappling are very rarely good in social situations anyway.
