Introduction

The Lordly Resolve feat gives you an exciting buff that you makes you feel like a party leader, allowing you to bolster your party against common charm and fear effects. However, the needlessly strict usage limitation on the feat means that you’ll constantly stress over using it in the wrong encounter, and you may miss opportunities to use it for fear of facing a bigger threat in the next encounter.

Lordly Resolve requires Lords’ Alliance Agent.

Ability Score Increase

Largely the same as the Ability Scores supported by the Lords’ Alliance Vassal background, but Intelligence is dropped from your choices, making it abundantly clear that this whole background/feat chain is intended for Strength/Charisma builds.

Standard Bearer

The effect is good and it feels very dramatic, but once per Long Rest is not good enough. If you’re worried about charm/fear effects, have someone in the party bring Calm Emotions. If you’re worried about possession, have someone bring Protection from Evil and Good. If you’re worried about allies falling prone, don’t be. Very few enemies have any meaningful way to knock you prone.

If this was once per short rest, I would happily rate it green.
