Introduction

The Tyro of the Gauntlet feat provides two situationally useful defensive features. The usefulness of the feat will depend heavily on how your DM runs their game.

Tyro of the Gauntlet is a prerequisite for Order’s Resilience.

Stand as One

Enemies that push or pull PCs exist, but they’re a small minority, so you’ll go long periods without benefit from this. Enemies always have the option to Shove, just as players do, but most stat blocks include actions that are much more impactful.

Vigilant

Because the Ready action is so incredibly restrictive, many tables rarely use it. This may be useful at low levels when you’re making a single attack per Action or relying heavily on Cantrips, and it’s great for Rogues who can get by on just one attack, but many players will get little value here.
