Dragonbane is the reimagined version of the classic Swedish fantasy RPG Drakar och Demoner, a tabletop roleplaying game full of magic, mystery, and adventure. Dragonbane was voted one of the most anticipated RPGs of 2023 at EN World and received high praise in reviews since the recent release in August this year.

This is a game with room for laughs at the table, while still offering brutal challenges for the adventurers. A play style Free League calls “mirth and mayhem roleplaying” – great for long campaigns, but also perfect for a one-shot.

The lead game designer of Dragonbane is Free League CEO and Co-Founder Tomas Härenstam (Forbidden Lands, Mutant: Year Zero, ALIEN RPG, Blade Runner RPG), leading a team of adventure writers picked from the from the rich legacy of the Swedish RPG scene, from the 1980s until today. The lead illustrator for the game is the acclaimed Johan Egerkrans (Vaesen – Nordic Horror Roleplaying).

Dragonbane Quickstart PDF is available for free via the official website and at DriveThruRPG (affiliate link). Players worldwide are invited to design and publish their own supplements for Dragonbane, using the third-party license for the game.
