If you’ve been playing 5e or a while, you have probably swung a few long swords, fired a few bows, and played (or at least seen) some combination of crossbow experts and polearm masters. DnD 5e’s weapons don’t have a ton of nuance due to their simplified stats, but if you take a deeper look and consider the broader game, there’s enough to sink your teeth into.
