The Thief is the iconic rogue, dating back to the Rogue’s first introduction to Dungeons and Dragons when the class was literally named “thief”. Despite this central place in the Rogue’s history, the Thief has been overlooked by the community since the earliest days of 5th edition in favor of literally any other other subclass.
But we have been doing ourselves a disservice. The Thief’s Fast Hands feature is far more interesting than people realize. For example: did you know that you can use it to throw acid and deal 2d6+dex damage as a Bonus Action? Yeah, that’s a thing you can do. Apparently that has been a thing for years and most of us never put that together (myself included).
