Selected in September’s Patreon Poll as the next 5e race handbook to receive an update, I’ve given the Tabaxi Handbook the usual post-Tasha’s updates.
When it was introduced, races that granted two skill proficiencies weren’t really a thing with the exception of the half-elf (and the variant human if you took the Skilled feat), so the Tabaxi’s traits were very appealing for Dexterity-based builds, such as rangers and rogues. In a post-Tasha’s world, the custom origin rules open up the Tabaxi’s options considerably, and now their combination of traits brings some interesting capabilities to many other classes, perhaps most notably front-line martial classes like the Barbarian and the Paladin, allowing them to rush into melee faster and also diversify their limited skills so that they’re more useful outside of combat.
Are you planning to comment on the new spells introduced in Fizban’s? I’d like to see your take on them.
Yes, definitely. Very soon.
Hey, I was wondering, how do I get to your “To-do” list now? I really appreciated seeing what was updated and what wasn’t, and it was always cool to see what you were planning on writing.
