I want to point out that Heavy Armor and Rage don’t work together, even the Bear Totem bit. Yes if you read totally RAW the text it should work, but it is obviously not what the writers intended. I’m working from a RAW interpretation of the rules. The RAW is fairly clear here, and unless we get errata a lot of people are going to do the same.
But the build doesn’t stop working just because you have to step down to Half-Plate because your DM disagrees with the text. It even gets more damage because we can add the Rage Damage.
