Harkening back to a prestige class from the 3.0 supplement, the Book of Exalted Deeds, which gave this edition’s artifact its name, this subclass presents itself as a very different kind of Paladin: one that wants to solve problems with as little violence as possible, and preferably none. The expanded spell list offers many good tools to accomplish just that, while the features let you be a walking martyr for your party, but hopefully without all the way to actually dying. In any case, this unique and very powerful subclass lends itself well to a Blessed Warrior build, so we finally have math on the website showing how effective such a thing is (the answer may surprise you).
