This one has bugged me for a while. I really like the concept of Storm Sorcery. It has some fun mechanical concepts, but it is a hard build to play.
So I wrote a build guide for it. It’s unusual, but I’ve actually included two example builds here: one as a single-class sorcerer, and one with a dip into tempest cleric since that’s such a popular option when discussing Storm Sorcery.

Hey, you mentioned the problems of the Storm Sorcerer. How much would you recommend modifying (homebrew) the class to be better in comparison to making an optimized RAW build?
This is as a DM who might want to recommend the class to players who think the subclass is cool. Of course, this is under the assumption that the group is okay with rule modifications.
